What is an essential in your vacation bag?
Besides sunscreen and my omnipresent hat for protection, it would have to be a lightweight linen scarf. You never know how far the temperature is going to drop (on the plane or on the beach) and it’s a great multi-purpose item. You can even use it as a makeshift sarong should you need it.
